How do my true voice in my various languages converge?

You know that you feel different in the different languages you speak. At some level, you recognise different personalities when you speak different languages.

These differences are the result of an "embedded" mindset in every language, so when we express ourselves in a new language we are adopting this new mindset, way of thinking and eventually, way of behaving over time.

Does this mean, then, that we have a different true voice in every language we speak? Yes and no. We have an all encompassing true self that is a confluence of all your languages, cultures, mindsets... and we also have your defined and separate everyday true voice in every language you speak, delimited by your environment.

In this course you will be guided to get to know your separate inner voices, through the exploration of your personal myth but also, you'll have the opportunity to go wider into your all-encompassing true voice for those moments when you want to have an honest conversation with yourself.

The structure

  • Exploration of the concept of "true voice"

Understand the role of the true voice in the never ending individuation process by exploring identity and authenticity.  This exploration is not only intellectual, during this section, we'll resort to breath, movement and poetry (in Spanish and English) to experience our true voice(s).

  • Personal Myth

The authentic expression of who you are is not only a conscious. process, in fact, the opposite is often true. Giving voice to our metaphors and narratives allows us to address a creative unconscious that can autonomously make connections that promote a process of evolutionary change without having to sift through the logic and rationality of the conscious mind. Through breath work, drum beats and poetry (in English and Spanish) you'll explore your inner metaphors, personal narrative and red thread.

  • Be seen

Nothing like spoken word in front of an audience to experience the cathartic power of performing your own poetry. Aristotle refers to the word 'catharsis' as a metaphor, made of language and words as medicines which can cleanse and detoxify the body. This 90 minute online group call is an open mic where the participants will read their own poetry created during the course followed by conversation.
